What is the best treatment to fix a brown stain on my composite filling after root canal therapy? (Photo)

That tooth is turning dark due to the root canal.  The only way to correct this is to crown the tooth.  It will look much better and be stronger once this is completed.  Good luck.  

Thank you for your question.There are many reasons for the brown stain, including the type of filling that was in the tooth before the root treatment was done.The best order of things to do to correct this is:Speak to your dentist - it is possible that the root filling has been left a little high inside the tooth and is showing through the crown. It can be simply reduced down which will immediately improve the appearance.Internal bleaching will allow the shade of the tooth to further improve, root treated teeth, before they die often bleed internally. This blood residue soaks in to the walls of the tooth, and only internal whitening can be used to remove this.You may hear about veneers being an option, but unless they are minimal, and unless you really wanted to have your teeth veneered, are not a very natural looking option, particularly if you have this done only on one tooth.Good luck with fixing your toothKind regardsThomas Dey, BDS, MSc
