gynecomastia whether addressing primarily fat or fat and breast tissue combination is typically challenging and often leaves people feeling like the treatment did not do enough even with aggressive liposuction. Chemical injections for fat removal are not ideal and I don't recommend them. They tend to be unpredictable and have fairly undesirable side effects. Liposuction it is the gold standard and is by far the most predictable and effective. The biggest variable that determines if someone will have a good result for a Male chest body contouring is the presence or lack there of of skin laxity. Men with skin laxity simply don't do well even with effective fat removal. Whether you have pseudogynecomastia or true gynecomastia you still have breast issue and this needs to be dealt with for most men to get good results. I would venture to say 50% as a man I treat need open resection's of breast tissue in order to get ideal results. I Male chest liposuction tends to have OK results in my experience and patient selection primarily based on not treating people with skin laxity or having those people except very limited results is key. I've posted if you mail just liposuction results unreal south. Of the ones I've posted I believe half of them had secondary breast tissue excision is on top of liposuction. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
