Can I remove my composite veneers? What will happen to my teeth after removal procedure?

my dentist told me that she will not remove my composite veneers because my teeth was prep and will become sensitive. But I do want to remove them permanently. I asked her how she did the preparation and told me that in composite veneer the preparation of tooth was minimal like a scratch on my enamel. Is there possibility that I can remove them permanently? And do some treatment to my teeth to make my enamel stronger and less sensitive?

Hello and thank you for your question. The best way to answer this is with an in-person evaluation, but yes it is possible to remove veneers, but it may alter the tooth underneath. I recommend getting a consultation with a Prosthodontist, who can discuss with you the different types of veneers and how removal would effect the health of your teeth.  A Prosthodontist is a dental specialist who has advanced training in restoring teeth and can create a customized treatment using the latest techniques in dental veneers.

If there was minimal enamel removal to place composite veneers then it possible to remove them without any problem while polishing remaining enamel beneath. But hen again that is possible only if your teeth enamel was reduced to the most minimal extent. If that was not the case (depending on why those composite were placed in the first place) then yes, you may need rather to replace them.
