My face is red and there is pus after CO2 laser. Is this normal?

I have done co2 laser two days ago. now, my face is reddish and there is a small puddle of pus. is it normal? doc gave me ointments for my sap 3 times a day.

It is normal for your face to be red for the first couple days. When taking a shower do not let the water hit your face directly. It is also normal for there to be oozing of clear or yellowish fluid and crusting, do not pick the crusts. Do not rub the ointment, but dab it on. Check with your physician, rarely infections can occur.
