Even excellent clinicians can overtreat a vascular lesion; burns from vascular lasers are uncommon but absolutely possible, and you responded in the exact way any trained esthetician would: you treated it, you monitored it, and you sought higher-level intervention when necessary.Texture: almost always improves, Ablative CO2 is excellent at smoothing the hard edges of a burn scar. Discoloration: improves in most cases. Remaining hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation often becomes less obvious.
(If hypopigmentation remains, later options include fractional lasers, melanocyte transfer, and sometimes tattoo-based color matching.) Indentations: can significantly soften.
