Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Too much movement in the first 24 - 48 hours after Botox injections can potentially reduce the effectiveness of the treatment or make it wear off sooner. We would typically recommend refraining from vaping 48 hours after treatment.
Smoking a vape after your Botox treatment will not impact your results. You should begin to see results after 3 to 5 days with final results seen after two weeks. Be sure to discuss any concerns you have with your injector.
Hello Nina,You may vape all you wish and your lip flip and control of your gummy smile will continue to not be affected. Just read an article stating that having the CV boosters is causing their botox to not last as long. Good luck and be well.Michael Persky, MD
Hi, thank you for your question! Botox around the mouth typically lasts 6-8 weeks for the average patient. Lip flip botox can be affected by things such as drinking from a straw, smoking, every day animations of the lips such as smiling and talking. Smoking can increase the botox wearing off faster for that area and it may only last 4-6 weeks.
Thank you for your question. If you smoke, a lip flip could inhibit that movement and give you the feeling of a floppy top lip. It also may inhibit the length of time the botox lasts as you are using the muscle a lot. We usually suggest not drinking from a straw with a lip flip and lip filler. I hope this helps!
Your vaping habits should not interfere with the effect of Botox in any way, shape or form. As long as the procedure of Botox administration is done correctly, and you are sensitive to Botox, the result should be the same. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
