I started my half sleeve tattoo removal last year, using a q-switched laser. The first two sessions were great - almost no blisters, and great fading. I was super excited. Then the third time my arm just burst into horrible blisters and I had to be seen by the burns unit at hospital even though the settings were exactly the same. So I did two patch tests following that incident using lower intensities but blisters appeared again. Weirdly, this only happens 7 days after the treatment. Any ideas?

The color and location of your tattoo would make it an amenable to laser tattoo lightening or laser tattoo removal. A solid option would be the Q switch Alex Trivantage laser. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Thank you for your question. I like to use the Picosure laser which can remove 95%+ of a tattoo. It works best to remove dark colors such as black, blue, purple and green. It can take up to 6-10 sessions to remove a tattoo and the average cost per session to remove a large tattoo is $500-$1000....
Laser tattoo removal is the gold standard for tattoo removal. Other options may cause permanent scarring if done incorrectly. Best, Dr .Karamanoukian Los Angeles
