Hello Jr. For pinpoint or icepick acne scars like the one you show in the photo, punch excision or TCA cross are excellent options. Punch excision is more of a surgical procedure, whereas TCA cross is a really quick, acid drop that can close off the hole. We would recommend TCA first. Best of luck.

You would be wise to seek out a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with experience and expertise in performing TCA CROSS. This simple, relatively inexpensive technique is indicated for closing very narrow scars, like ice pick scars and piercing holes, dilated pores, etc. Surgical approaches run the risk for the development of stretch scars and tram track stitch marks in areas subject to static tension or movement.
