My Gums are very white around the edges of my Silver tooth crown?

I went to the Dentist yesterday to get a fractured tooth fixed, he drilled out my old filling and then put a silver tooth cap on it. After I got home and the numbing went away I was in horrible pain. Today I noticed my gum around that tooth is super white.

Hi:Contact your dentist and let him/her know about the white gum.  If the silver cap is a temporary crown it might be exerting too much pressure on the gums.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Ususally when tissue turns white there is pressure being placed on it and a decrease in blood flow. Return to the doctor to have this looked at. It may need a small adjustment.
