Washing your hair after a hair transplantation is an important step for restoration.  We usually have our patients start spraying hair with lactated ringers with liposomal ATP as well as other growth factors twice a day to help your hair process start ASAP.  Actual hair washing usually takes place several days after the procedure.  There are several advantages to this approach:

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.

Shedding of the transplanted hair is perfectly normal after a hair transplant procedure and will occur anywhere from weeks 2 to 6 post op. Continue to follow your doctors post op care instructions and happy growing!

From the picture it looks like you lost a few grafts, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. The temporal triangle typically receives 400-700 grafts and losing 4 grafts shouldn't change the final look much.  Also after the 5th day any further loss should be minimal if you follow the instructions given to you.

What you are seeing is the shedding of the grafts, something that happens early after a hair transplant and continues for months at time
