Question

Is there more risk of burn/adverse effects? I understand it works slower than j-Plasma so the skin is at risk longer. If a POC with a moderate need for tightening in the arms and top and bottom butt area had a choice, which is better and is it okay to get it separate from reg lipo? For instance, someone gets awake lipo on arms and then waits 2wks and gets the bodytite or j-plasma afterwards? Thank u

Renuvion J Plasma is a monopolar based radiofrequency based plasma energy. Bodytite is a bipolar radiofrequency device. They work by slowly heating the skin. In Bodytite, an unblock heating is performed including the fat to be removed in the applied area. Liposuction is performed when the area reaches the desired temperature. In Renuvion J Plasma, Liposuction is applied first and then the area is heated. Bodytite or Renuvion J Plasma cannot be applied 2 weeks after fat removal. There is no such method. Since they are both radiofrequency based, they work irrelevant to the patient's skin color. After the application of the device, the best response is received by people under the age of 50 with strong connective tissue without excessive loosening and cracks in the skin. Complications are directly proportional to the experience of the practitioner.

Thank you for your question and the photos. Provided your BMI is less than 30, you can be a good candidate for body contouring. I don't think that it makes any sense to do traditional liposuction instead of coupling BodyTite and Morpheus with liposuction. Liposuction only removes excess fat, leaving the skin on its own to retract. There is not much of that without adding energy like in BodyTite. The control of BodyTite to me is why it is a better modality than Renuvion and J-plasma. Each however is achieving a similar result, just w/ different technology. Also think that if you are treating other areas with BT, you should also have your arms done that way. Personally, I think that the outcome from arms is amazing.

First of all neither device really tightens the skin, even though the companies as well as the doctors say so. It’s absolutely not true. Both devices have sort of a shrink wrap effect on the connective tissue lying below the skin level. Bodytite supposedly tightens the skin, but that is practically impossible to tighten the skin because the skin needs to be burned in order to tighten. The temperature of the skin thats anything below the burn level does not actually tighten the skin and you know that if you’ve ever been to a very hot sauna where the temperature is considerably hotter. 
Bodytite can cause changes in the pigmentation because the probe is in close contact to the skin. Renuvion, on the other hand, stays deep to the skin, and it creates a spontaneously, quick ark of energy in order to shrink the connective tissue, which then pulls the skin closer to the muscle but the temperature never rises to the level of a burn because of the cooling effect of helium gas, which is flowing through the Tubing., as the tissue is shrunken, and the skin is pulled closer to the muscle reducing the jiggle effect. It is for those reasons that I believe that Renuvion is a safer device.
