Will a divot left after abdominal lipo eventually fill back in?

Question

I was left with a divot where the cannula was inserted. It was fine and healed, but after fluid collected, it needed to be drained twice. The first time about 100 cc, and 2nd time about 120 cc. The surgeon used the same spot to insert the syringe, about a week after the drainage p, the divot appeared with a hard pea size lump. Will this ever heal on its own? I’m now 6 weeks post op.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.
If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. At 6 weeks it is too early to comment. It will continue to get better. Re evaluate in 6 months if it persists, fat graft can be done.
