Hi doctors, I’m planning a trip to South Korea and am considering trying a simple cosmetic treatment while I’m there. I’ve been researching a filler called Juvegel, which I understand is primarily a hyaluronic acid filler that also contains PN ingredients. Downtime: Juvegel is a hyaluronic acid-based filler with added PN ingredients, which generally behaves similarly to standard HA fillers. Most people experience minimal downtime, often just a day or two of mild swelling or tenderness. Some may feel ready to resume normal activities immediately.

Swelling and bruising: Swelling and bruising are possible, as with any filler. Typically, swelling peaks within the first 24–48 hours and can last up to 3–5 days, while bruising, if it occurs, may take slightly longer to resolve. Applying cold compresses and avoiding blood thinners (unless medically necessary) can help reduce these effects.

Flying after the procedure: In general, flying a few days after filler is safe, as long as there are no complications like significant swelling or bruising. Keep in mind that cabin pressure can sometimes slightly accentuate swelling in the first day or so, but this is usually mild.

Tissue response compared to standard HA fillers: Juvegel’s PN component may support skin hydration and tissue quality, but in terms of immediate recovery and swelling, it behaves similarly to standard HA fillers.
