Can I get IPL and dermal filler the same day?

I hope to get some undereye and lip filler when I visit Paris in a couple weeks, I am wondering if getting ipl for redness on the cheeks and skin is safe the same day?

It’s understandable to want to maximize your visit in Paris and address multiple concerns at once. Generally, it’s safest not to combine IPL (or other laser treatments) and dermal fillers on the same day. Here’s why:

Swelling and irritation: IPL can cause temporary redness, swelling, or mild inflammation. If filler is injected the same day, it can make it harder to distinguish normal post-filler swelling from a reaction to the laser.

Risk of uneven results: Skin that’s been treated with IPL may be more sensitive, which could affect how filler settles, especially in delicate areas like under the eyes and lips.

Optimal timing: Most providers recommend spacing treatments by at least a few days to a week—do fillers first, let any swelling settle, then do IPL, or vice versa depending on your priority.

Doing them on separate days ensures the safest results and gives you the most natural, smooth outcome for both your skin and your fillers.
