For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
The line you are referring to is known as the labiomental crease. The best treatment to reduce its appearance in a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. The filler is injected into the dermal layers to smooth away the line from the inside out. This procedure does require precision and expertise in terms of needle placement and dosing. Make sure the doctor you choose for your procedure is board certified with extensive training in filler treatments to ensure an optimal outcome.
Thank you for your question and for including a picture! This area responds very well to dermal fillers that are Hyaluronic Acid based (ex: Juvederm, Restylane) which can last you about a year. For longer lasting results I like using Bellafill (this filler is made of collagen combined with a collagen stimulating agent). Bellafill is FDA approved to last 5 years and is considered more of an injectable "implant." Radiesse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) is also a longer lasting alternative. Great question and I hope this helps! Dr. Dima
Dear awyiss,Generally speaking, dermal fillers are a great option for face contouring. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
This is known as the labiomental crease. It can be reduced with the injection of Hyaluronic acid fillers. Results can last up to a year but I would recommend a review at about 9 months. I would recommend a consultation first as in some cases we also treat the chin with Botulinum toxin.
Hello, you can temporarily fix this with dermal filler. The filler will last 6months to a year and a half depending on the type of filler that is used. Best to have an in person consultation. Good luck!
The sharp angle that you don't like can be improved with dermal fillers which last about 1- 1.5 years depending on which product is used. The filler injection treatment needs to be repeated, however, unlike surgery. It is important to understand what causes this angle/line in the chin. Is it that your lower teeth and jaw are too far back? Is it your chin that is too small? Is it that your chin muscle (mentalis) is too large compared to where your lower teeth are? Proper diagnosis of the cause may be more important to sustain a long term solution, rather than treating temporarily to mask it. As a board certified maxillofacial surgeon with fellowship training in facial cosmetic surgery, I perform these expert services frequently, providing both non-surgical and surgical options, depending on the diagnosis.Hope this answers your question.
Thank you for your question and picture. Dermal fillers can be used to sculpt, contour or enhance the chin area. 1-3 syringes are usually needed and results can last up to 12 months on average. In Canada, we have Juvederm Volux specially made for the chin and jawline area that can last up to 24 months. I recommend seeing an expert in your area. All the best, Dr. Michon
Hello, thank you for your question! You can make a significant improvement with hyaluronic fillers like Juvéderm or Restylane in that area. These fillers can be used to blend in the > shape that you don't like. In this area, there isn't a lot of movement, and thus fillers could last you over a year. I routinely perform this procedure for my patients. Please seek out a qualified Oculoplastic, facial plastic, or dermatologist physician to provide this expert service for you. Best of luck
Yes Juvederm Voluma or Juvederm Volux or Radiesse or sculptra would be great for jaw line all last up to 2 years Best wishes
