How much filler for jawline & chin widening? (Photo)

In a younger patient, custom facial implants often make the best financial sense. Placing 5-10 syringes of filler each year versus creating a customized look with silicone implants that are permanent and symmetrical. The look that you want to achieve is more easily accomplished using a CT and implants.

It can be difficult to know how much filler might be needed for an individual without examining them.  There are also a variety of fillers that could be used and each filler may need a different amount to achieve the desired result.  I do like using Radiesse along the jaw and chin because it is a relatively firm filler, so can give good projection.  I would recommend using one syringe first and then waiting a couple of weeks to see the effect.  If desired, you could always add more later.  

A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. It is estimated about 4-5 syringes of fillers (1 syringe=1ml). Not less than 4 syringes if you wanted to achieve results similar to the attached picture.
