When veneers are used to close spacing between teeth, the gum and boney architecture is a big factor. I am only guessing, but since the veneers appear somewhat wide, I can assume that some opened spacing was the beginning problem.I would have to see Before photos and higher up under the lipline to help explain what veneers can and cannot do with respect to the gumline. Sometimes there isn't sufficient gum to fill the large spaces. How were the temporaries? The before picture of what you started with holds all of the answers. Veneers can be used to widen teeth to close spaces, but they still have to have a natural shape and be made in particular proportion to one another. In some cases, there just isn't enough gum to fill the spaces totally. This should have been addressed in your temporaries by you and your dentist together. If I saw a photo of your temporaries, how they were made, how your gum tissue responded to the temporary margins, how was your hygiene, did you have any laser therapy to your gums.. ALL questions I need answers to and photos of to diagnose your problem. You also could go to a periodontist , a gum specialist to see if there is a problem with the Veneer shapes or it is a gum problem itself.Come with photos of all the phases of your treatment to help them answer your questions. Good luck. The gums you now see, are just as important as the veneers.

The gum will fill the gaps when it is healed properly if the veneers are made anytime soon. Please be patient and allow your gums to recover, and then you will see the problem is solved.
