I have symptoms of graves oftalmopathy for 2 y. Mri scan says it is innactive. I receive botox for lid retraction every 6 months ( wears off after 2-3). I am very unhappy about my appearence.I wonder if it can be fixed with fillers of fat removal. Is orbital decompression surgery the only option I have left to be my old self again? (llast photo are my eyes before graves disease)

Fillers would only add volume to the situation and your concern is too much volume. With Grave's ophthalmopathy the issue can be with some excessive fat, but the bigger problem is muscle enlargement. Some patients note that their eye symptoms improve or resolve after a year or two. Your situation sounds more persistent.Options for you include decompression and radiation.I have performed endoscopic decompression for the situation with good results. I would recommend that you consult with an otolaryngologist who specializes in sinus surgery as they would be the one most experienced in performing this endoscopic technique.
