I am 4 weeks post Vivace and I am still red with grid marks, what is my next step? (Photos)

Hello - thank you for including photos. This reaction is not normal. I would reach out to your provider for help, and I would recommend starting an intensive topical regiment containing vitamin C, hydroquinone, retinol, and possibly steroids. I am sorry you are going through this! If your provider is not comfortable handing this post op complication I would seek out a board-certified physician to help. 

Thank you for your question and pictures. I am sorry you have not had an elegant experience with your treatment. Your photos show distinct square marks and signs of early inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which at 4 weeks should not show any of these signs. As a patient in my practice within the first 24 to 48 hours you are contacted to make sure that all has gone well. It is not clear if you have been in contact with your provider or not and if anything has been done so far to heal your skin or not. In my practice I do every Vivace treatment with Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP which boosts the results and also heals the skin more rapidly.  If you do not think that your current provider can take care of your complication, I recommend that you see a physician who is well versed promptly to heal your skin and reverse the early inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
