BBL vs Excel-V for sun spots on my face and chest?

Having a lot of experience with both devices, I am partial to BBL over the excel v for brown spots. On the other hand, I greatly prefer the excel v for blood vessels. The reasons are this: the BBL technique is a multi pass technique which helps to avoid what we call stamping ( areas of untreated skin between laser marks). BBl Is also a no downtime procedure while excel v will definitely cause swelling on the face. Lastly, BBL is a more comfortable procedure to go through than excel v, it has a larger spot size and uses less energy. I think they both work for brown spots but for these reasons I prefer BBL. Photos would help the most but I would not advise you to have lasers if you have melasma.  Cosmelan is the best treatment for melasma.  The Alex-trivantage is the best laser for individual sun spots.  I treat a lot of patients who had BBL for sun spots and it made their melasma worse.  Please consult an expert in lasers for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green
