i got ingrown hair after my first laser hair removal which wasn't there before. i got a lot on my shoulders ! is it normal ? do i need to change my machine ? i'm using Gentle lase pro. Thank you

This can happen after laser hair removal, but will improve with more treatments. Keep in mind it will take a series. I typically have patients do every 4 weeks for the first 3 times and then every 4-6 weeks for 3 times after. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. Best, Dr. Emer

Yes, it is common for some patients to experience ingrown hair with laser hair reduction treatments.  This will lessen over the course of your treatments.  It is important to follow through with your laser hair reduction series for best results.  Regards.

Thank you for your question.  Seeing ingrown hairs after having laser hair removal is not uncommon and can happen with any laser hair removal treatments. Continue with a series of treatments and you will notice as less hair is present less ingrown hairs will be noticed as well.  Best of luck to you!!

This can occur and it is not related to the machine used. It can happen with all lasers. As the hair gets less plentiful, this will improve. My experience is that the ingrown hair (pre-existing) usually improves quite rapidly.
