I recently had my first hair transplant consultation to address traction alopecia. It was recommended i have 3000 grafts via FUT and it would be a fingers width of new hair line. I had no mapping drawn and feel confused and unsure . Any insight please

Transplants vs. Hairline advancement with the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline advancement? You will get a better result with the latter without the kinky result with transplants. also, the density will be far greater than can be achieved with grafting. Having invented this procedure 50 years ago and have done more than 5000. I still believe this is the gold standard for the best result. Hair grows through the incision if properly done so you do not see a scar.

I recommend Sapphire-FUE hair transplant for you to have the maximum number of grafts and a good looking hair line without any visible scars. FUT which is outdated nowadays leaves a visible linear scar in the donor area so not recommended.
