I'm 18 years old and I have hooded eyes. It's not from ageing but simply just how I was born. I was wondering if a doctor would perform this op on somebody so young, even though it is completely destroying my confidence and it's something I want to deal with before I get any older, because ageing will probably make it worse.

Although the decision for surgery usually relies on clinical indications, I suggest you consider less invasive approaches like Ultherapy of the lateral brow or Botulinun toxin of the eyebrow depressors.

There are a number of cosmetic surgical procedures that might be considered at a relatively young age. These fall into categories of concerns that are predominantly genetically related.  As regards the brow, there are a small number of quite young individuals who have significant brow ptosis (droopiness) at an early age. This does add years to one's appearance or might cause one to appear "angry" or "tired". Compensation for this problem with early use of the brow muscles then starts to ingrain lines -often at an early age.An endoscopic brow lift may then be a reasonable option.  We hace performed a small number of these procedures for individuals in their 20's with excellent results. The bottom line is that this requires consultation and assessment as to whetrther or not you are a godd candidate.

Most surgeons require that patients are at least 18 years of age.  That said, I recommend scheduling several consultations with experienced surgeones and asking all of your questions before deciding to move forward with surgery.
