Hi. I’ve been reading on this about women who have had a BA were given an ID card which holds information about the implant they have. I have chosen a Mentor implant. My surgeon has not mentioned anything about the card. Am I supposed to register with the Mentor site? As a patient, it asks for the serial number to the implants i have in, in order to go forward and apparently this information is on the ID card.. my question is, how important is this card? How important is registering?

In that you should never experience a loss of volume but implants can rupture and if this happens, the knee jerk reaction is to switch them out for new ones. But gel is cohesive now so it all sticks together and should not disseminate into the surrounding breast tissue if the shell fails ...
