Thank you for yourquestion in regards to IPL.It is not recommended to have any elective cosmetic procedures done while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. To be sure, wait to continue hair removal treatments once you are done breastfeeding. See twoor more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation tomake sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to havetreatment.I hope this helps.
There should be no problems with laser hair removal while breast feeding. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Being patient can be hard to do after IPL treatment! I recommend to wait until day 7 and then it is ok to use exfoliating clarisonics and even a microdermabrasion treatment to help freshen up the treated skin and slough off the treated skin. Continue with moisturizing as well!
You can treat with both of these at the same treatment session, actually. In my practice, we offer Triniti laser packages, which include a series of IPL, RF, and diode treatments done at the same time. Each works differently on the skin.
There is a theoretical risk, but the risk is still quite low. If you think your hair is thinning, speak to a knowledgeable dermatologist about solutions. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
