It has been two years since my septorhinoplasty. After the operation, the nurse quickly and with pressure removed the packing from inside my nose, after that for a while I had complete nasal congestion and also severe runny nose while eating. My nose is still almost blocked and I have a runny nose when I eat or in cold weather. Can removing the nasal packing forcefully and quickly damage the tissue? Or was the tissue damaged during surgery? Is vasomotor rhinitis a complication of surgery???

Answer: A runny nose after rhinoplasty is more common than you think.
Hello! Thank you for your question.
As far as I can see from your photos I recommend rhinoplasty operation for a permanent and long-lasting solution, but you must have a detailed examination beforehand, if you have deviation, you should definitely have a rhinoplasty operation, it is important...
Given the nose doesn't have any direct connection to the mandible or TMJ, it is highly unlikely that your rhinoplasty is related to TMJ/mandible issues.
Many women like to shape their eyebrows, and I see no reason why this should be a problem after undergoing rhinoplasty surgery. Wishing you well. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
