There are two areas that look especially charred on my right cheek under the eye. I had very tiny capillaries so that I'm shocked to have had this done to me. Moreover, the U of I dermatologist who did this actually handed the laser to a resident whom I though was only to observe, and this is the result. this burned area is surely going to scar, correct? What is your advice?

I suggest seeing your dermatologist. Unless there was a specific reason for bruising the pulsed dye laser treatment should have been less extreme. Itching is common as the spot heals. If there is skin breakdown I suggest b5 hydrator and JanMarini Bioshield. Best, Dr. Emer.
