Following piercing for inverted nipple deformity, it is still possible to perform surgery to correct the inverted nipples.
This procedure can be performed at the office under local anesthesia or can be combined with other breast procedures, such as augmentation, reduction, or breast implant removal. Inverted nipples pull inward rather than protruding outward, usually because of the underlying milk ducts being too short. During procedure, a small incision is made at the base of the nipple, underlying tethering tissues are released, nipple is lifted up and supporting stitches are placed.
