I had my septoplasty done 9 days ago, I am daily rinsing my nose with saline water, but there are still some dry blood clots left. How to remove them? Will they come out with time or I have to approach my surgeon to get them removed?

Dear tjenkins87, I would suggest seeing your surgeon for a follow up examination. You can cause a deviation to the septum with trauma as you describe so an in office intra-nasal evaluation would provide a diagnosis. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
Thanks for your question- septoplasty refers to addressing the septum, which is the divider plate between the right and left nasal passage ways. No changes to your outward nose are created (unless a complication occurs)
