How is it determined what size to reach with the nose because I don’t want it to be too small or remain too big?

Question

I'm middle eastern. I have thick nose skin so drastic differences are probably not likely. With that being said, with your experience with thick skin, which of these pictures I put are likely to be achievable? And if I were to thin my nose bridge, would I also thin the tip of nose as well (after I lift)? Is the optimal size of the nose decided based on certain proportions? I edited some images (the first is me now, and the rest are edited), please let me know which you think is fitting

I prefer to do some computer simulations for my patients to help give them a realistic idea of what I think can be done with their nose with rhinoplasty, especially after assessing skin thickness. That way, we can also make sure that the patient and I agree on the overall size, width, rotation, projection, etc. of the nose beforehand. Of course, actual results will vary, but the simulations are meant to be pretty close to reality. All the best,

The surgeon assessed the size of the nose as he it she progresses with the surgery, so you have to leave a lot to your faith in the surgeon. There is a bit of a tendency to be conservative with rhinoplasty. Pick out some pictures you like on the internet and show them to your surgeon

Basic parameters such as the width of the nose and length are determined according to the patient's other facial structures such as cheek, chin, forehead. After the basic dimensions are determined according to the face, some details can be shaped according to the patient's request( for example, whether the tip of the nose is raised or how wide the ridge of the nose will be can be determined according to the patient's request).Another important point that should not be overlooked here is the skin, which is one of the biggest limiting factors of the surgery. As you are aware, since your skin is thick, over reduction your nose will cause the proportions of the nose to be erased and a bad appearance. though - are the possible outcomes for your nose.The results in the photos you show - although difficult to judge from the phone camera photos - are achievable with rhinoplasty.Best wishes

Rhinoplasty with thick skin: as you correctly said, the thickness of the skin plays a large part in the outcome of A rhinoplasty, particularly the tip. This is less of an issue in most men since the goal is not necessarily to obtain the thinnest, finest tip, but one which matches the more masculine features of the male face. Ultimately the assessment of the thickness of the skin of the tip and therefore the prediction of the outcome would be based on feeling that skin in person. However based on the appearance of your nose preoperatively it looks like the first edited picture would be a reasonable approximation.
