Foul breath due to 2 crowns next to each other. Recommendations? Should I get it pulled?

So I have gotten two crowns (that are next to each other) done 5 times from 3 different dentist. One got infected and I got a treatment for it, but even after all that there is always an odor and makes me have bad breath. Should I just get my tooth pulled out at this point? Any other recommendations. It’s been several years and it’s embarrassing!
