I have PCOS w/ increased androgens & testosterone which leads to androgenetic alopecia. I plan to get weight loss surgery, & with weight loss, it's said to reverse PCOS symptoms & decrease androgens & testosterone level. If I started Minoxidil, can I slowly discontinue use after my hormones are balanced, and my weight stabilizes? And would the hair that grew with Minoxidil fall out again? Because technically with weight loss, I fixed the hormone issues and basically the trigger to my hair fall.

The answer is yes, we can discontinue Minoxidil, but we do need to make sure first that any hair follicles which have become dependent on Minoxidil can become independently healthy and strong enough to grow on their own first.  For that reason we will recommend an overlap period - of generally around 8 weeks during our biochemistry rebalancing phase of treatment.
