Breast reduction. Low nipple, one day post-op (Photo)

Question

I just had my breast reduction yesterday , today is my 1st day post op. And I’m noticing my nipples are not perky and not positioned where I wanted them, my dr said they will eventually get perky once the bottom stretched “bottom out”. Does this look normal? And will I need a nipple revision ? :(

You are correct that your nipple position appears to be a little low immediately post-op.  In my experience, nipples do not get higher with time.  True, bottoming-out can make a nipple look high but this is a separate issue altogether.  It is difficult to definitively make this assessment with just one photo.  There is no doubt that you need to give your breasts time to heal before making any decisions.  You may need a revision to get the result you were after and that should not be difficult to perform.  I am not saying your surgeon did a poor job.  Many factors influence just how much a nipple can be raised and I don't know what these factors may or may not have been.  Be patient now and make an informed decision later.
