I Have a Small Flat Brown Mole in my Penis Head?

I saw a dermatologist and he said that there's nothing to worry about.Although i want to remove that mole for cosmetic reasons,it causes me a bit of embarassment.What kind of procedure is required?An excision with some kind of a cutting device scares me a little bit.Are there any risks?How about the shape and the fuction of this area after the procedure?Thanks in advance

It appears that you may have a good outcome with having the mole completely surgically excised.  I would recommend that you see a facial plastic surgeon or a dermatologic surgeon for an evaluation and possible procedure.

If the mole is shaved, then the hair follicles should be intact.  If the mole is completely excised and closed with sutures, there may be a chance that the hair does not grow in the scar.

Mole removal can likely be done many ways.  The most prudent way is to seek the advice of a board certified plastic surgeon who has the experience to minimize scarring.

Thank you for your question. It would be best to follow the post op instructions that your doctor provided. In general, petroleum jelly ointment products help heal the wound quicker. It would be likely be ok to put A & D ointment but would not be sufficient if you want to heal the wound...
