I had righ TE exchanged 12 days ago because I had an open wound and the TE was exposed. I am 12 days post-op and am in considerable pain and still have 50cc out output in JP drain every 24 hours. I was treated with antibiotics starting the day after surgery because the pre-op culture of wound tested positive for staph. My PS is talking about removing TE for 3-6 months and that fluid is sign of infection at this point. What else could be causing the excessive fluid? What are my options at this point??
