Can butts be lowered? I believe my butt sits too high.

In relation to this previous question from helena. I have the same question and I am a male. The sad part about it is that it is hereditary but I have only seen it in some of the women on both sides of my family but no men. Is there any way I can have my butt lowered. No I don't have excess fat on top. I still have somewhat of an athletic tone.
