Which tattoo removal laser is better? Quanta EVO or PicoSure laser?

Tattoos should be removed with q switched or pico lasers. We also use the pfd patch to help speed up the process. It will take a series of treatments, but it's difficult to determine how many sessions will be needed. A "hand poked" tattoo is generally easy to remove no matter which laser you are using. The Quanta Evo is a good laser with multiple capabilities and, so long as the person using is experienced, you shouldn't have any issues having the tattoo removed. The PicoSure was the first to market and is an older platform laser. It's still effective but lacks the power and flexibility of the Quanta. The real difference here is experience. Having said that, it's likely the dermatologist doesn't do the treatment his/her self. I would check with both places and look at some of their results. Best of luck.

Thanks for your question, but you are buying into marketing.  You are already on the right path of using a picosecond laser for tattoo removal.  I would strongly recommend that you find an office with a pico and has LOTS of experience.  When you jump on the newest, best thing, the provider doesn't have any experience with it.  You end up getting treated exactly like how the manufacturer trained them.  They don't have any real world insight on what works.  We are constantly updating our treatment protocols after our experience of what works.Spend more time researching provider experience.  There are not FAST ways to remove permanent ink.  You have to take your time and let your body do the work.  Most people make the mistake of overtreating and causing collateral damage to the underlying and surrounding skin.  We treat our tattoo patients 4 times a year or less.  They have excellent results and are very satisfied.  I hope this helps.
