Do I need to stop taking baby aspirin before my doctor injects hyaluronidase to remove filler?

Have been taking Atenolol and baby asprin for 3 days so far. Have 2 days before I visit my doctor to remove some filler in cheeks. Do I stop taking baby asprin now or just on the day of the procedure. How does hyaluranaise react with asprin. Any advise would be very helpful thanks.

No, you don't need to stop aspirin for hyaluronidase injections. However, there is a higher risk of a bruise on aspirin than if you paused it.  If you were to pause it to decrease the risk of a bruise, ask your primary care doctor if it is ok first.  It would be best to stop it for 10-14 days ahead of the procedure, not just the day of. There is no need to stop any blood thinners for hyaluronidase, unless you are concerned, and there is no harm in stopping unless you need it medically.  Best, Dr. Emer.
