Hi @fulla80! Swelling is common after a PRP under eye treatment. You can apply ice and arnica. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Swelling is not uncommon for PRP under eye treatments as PRP. This is because PRP is an injected procedure so there are unavoidable injection points where the needle is inserted. This may cause swelling and tenderness at the site of the injection for 2 or three days. Generally this resolves quickly though - just be careful not to put makeup or lotions and the eyes straight after treatment so your skin can recover.Avoid exposure to sunbeds or strong sunlight those first few days. PRP is generally very well tolerated as you are using the body’s own growth factors.Speak to your provider in the unlikely event your swelling persists.Disclaimer: All results are individual. All procedures have risks. Speak to your doctor about your symptoms.
Photos extremely poor in resolution, as a guide, if no veins were hit during injection, expect swelling for 2-3 days. If a vein was punctured, resulting in bruising, up to 7 to 10 days. Ice and arnica can help. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Hi, thank you for your question! I highly do not recommend you use your husbands PRP on yourself. This may be harmful to you.
