Could my pain be a pinched nerve?

When I discuss the recovery with my patients we talk about postoperative discomfort in detail. Patients can expect a burning and pressure for a few days after surgery. Any prolong time frame with moderate to severe pain can represent a different issue and has to be addresses.

It’s unclear from your post how long ago your breast augmentation was, but it’s not uncommon for people to experience some form of nerve trauma after a major surgery like breast enlargement. If your procedure took place over the last few weeks or months, I wouldn’t worry too much. Nerve damage usually resolves itself over time. Follow up with your plastic surgeon if you’re uncertain.
 

Whether or not what you are describing is out of the norm really depends on when you had surgery. It sounds as if you had your surgery many weeks ago. If so then I would suggest that you schedule an appointment with your surgeon to be examined in person. It could be a nerve, but always best to know for certain. Best of luck.

Congratulations on your breast augmentation.  The pain that you describes sounds more like muscle pain which could be related to the submuscular placement of your breast implants.   It is best to check with your plastic surgeon for an examination and diagnosis.
