It is not at all uncommon to still have visible scars when it has only been six weeks since your surgery.   Most likely it is scar tissue that is causing the scar to be somewhat raised, and this will soften and flatten with time.  Pinkness is going to fade with time also.  Avoid direct sunlight to the scars while they are still lightening up.  Try not to worry!

It takes weeks for the scars to mature.  Discuss scar management with your surgeon.  At this stage, I recommend my patients continue wearing their compression vest to expedite healing.
