How long after an abdominoplasty and lipo can I use a flex belt?

In general I would avoid using a device like this to strengthen the abdominal muscle for 6 weeks.  I recommend starting at a low setting and for half the time you were using the flex belt for at least 2 weeks. At about 8-12 weeks you should be able to ramp up your exercise and abdominal strength exercises.  Let your body be your guide, and consult with your plastic surgeon if you have any concerns.

That's an interesting question. I would personally suggest you stay away from that device until you have had enough time to have adequate healing. I don't let my patient do real crunches for at least 3 months. Therefore, I would extrapolate from that and say that anything that is going to stimulate the rectus muscle like the flex belt would fall under the same rules. I hope that helps!
