Yes, CO2 laser resurfacing can be highly effective especially in cases of moderate rhinophyma. J Plasma resurfacing can also work wonders for thickened nasal skin. Best.
Thank you for your question. The short answer to your question is yes, C02 or Erbium laser resurfacing is an excellent option for treatment of rhinophyma. There are other options as well, such as loop cautery and dermabrasion. I would consult with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon who has experience both with the treatment of rhinophyma and with laser treatments. I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin
A combination approach will give the most improvement with lasers, dessication and microneedling/prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello OuAmy,There are several treatment options for rhinophyma. They include CO2 lasers, cautery, wire loop, excision, plasma, etc. I'd recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon to learn about the options that may be right for you.
Good Afternoon. Thank you for your question. There have been Studies show (called White Papers) that show show the use of J-Plasma to treat Rhinophyma, a complication associated with rosacea that can seriously impede a patients ability to breathe or hinder cosmetic appearance. The surgical precision and reduced tissue damage that can offered by using J-Plasma is has been helpful in the success rate of the outcome to both enable the patient to breathe better and also to help me blend the tissue nicer for a better cosmetic result.
Yes - CO2 is the Gold Standard for Rhinophyma management. Other treatment options include loop diathermy. Sebaceous hyperplasia can easily be treated with CO2, erbium lasers, hyfrection or even RF needling applied to each lobule. See a plastic surgeon or dermatologist for advice. Dr Davin Lim. Yes, fractional ablative CO2 laser resurfacing does help to reduce sebaceous hyperplasia, pores, and texture problems seen with rhinophyma. A combination of IPL treatment and CO2 laser is a great combination and also a consideration. A consultation with an aesthetic surgeon or dermatologist who has CO2 laser and IPL readily available in an office setting would be ideal. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. I would suggest doing a fractional treatment for melasma. Apply hydroquinone morning and evening two weeks prior to your treatment. The fractional treatment would help to suppress the discoloration and improve texture of your skin along with shrinking your pores.
Surgery is the choice. Simple elliptical excision with primary closure by a Specialist will give you the best results. After care post surgery is critical for the best scar result. Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
