I scheduled a breast reduction surgery in 2 wks & just received information concerning Hospital costs for $9,500 (my 20% fee), anesthesia fees - $1,200, surgeon's fee $750. This brings the total of my surgery to over $10,000. Meanwhile, this surgery was quoted at $11,000 (all fees inclusive with a private PS). I have an 80/20% insurance coverage on my PHCS Network. Is this the usual charge for breast reduction surgeries & are there alternatives to reduce or avoid this enormous hospital cost? Thanks.
