Stomach hair grew very long and dark after lipo on abdomen. Is this normal?

I only saw one other person ask this on this website and drs said liposuction has nothing to do with it. I feel there is some sort of correlation with liposuction and hair growth. Because my abdomen was not like this. Does any one have different opinions?

No, this isn't a typical side effect of liposuction. If the hairs are dark, they can be treated with laser hair removal. It will take a series of treatments. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

I've seen hair grow after laser treatments, but no, not after liposuction. I don't know how long it's been since your procedure, but if less than 9 months, wait and see if the long hair falls out. Otherwise, I would suggest laser hair removal.

Hi jay.I have a different opinion.  My opinion is that I have in close to 30 years, never seen this, so I don't agree.  However, if this has happened to you, it is what it is.  Hair removal laser is what you should consider.I am sorry that it has happened.  I hope that the contour improvement otherwise makes you happy.Regards.sek
