2 months post BBL: is it normal to have extremely tight back pain in the liposuctioned area? (Photos)

Question

I am 2 months 4 days post op bbl last night I decided to sleep without any kind of compression garment.W/every turn and move I felt like my skin was being ripped apart& I was being cut open! I feel like my recovery at this point is fine minus the slight swelling when I typically dont wear compression for2hrs while at the gym but last night was horrible ! Is this a normal feeling when not wearing a garment at this stage?When can i expect it to go away?Can I make it more comfortable sooner?Thanks

Thank you for your question. Liposuction in an area can cause a variety of symptoms such as a burning sensation, numbness, pain.  This should subside in 3-12 weeks after surgery. Sometime it may last up to 6 months.   Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. You are still very early post op. Tightness and firmness in the areas of aggressive liposuction are to be expected. This typically takes 3-6 months to resolve. Some surgeons utilize adjuncts in the post op period such as massage, thermage or other therapies to help expedite the resolution of the firm areas. Be patient. You're well on you way to a very nice result.

At two months you still have significant inflammation and swelling after a BBL.  This is entirely normal at this point and your symptoms are not unusual. Give it more time.
