I suggest you post photos and see your physician. I tend to do laser treatments then follow then with peels.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I just had a VI peel done 3 days ago and the skin is starting to peel, but the new skin is always burning. Is this normal?

You should not be experiencing significant burning after treatment of the VI peel. One of the main advantages of the VI peel is the lack of pain and comfort during the process. If you are experiencing burning, I suggest you get an evaluation to ensure your not having a reaction to a product...

There are a lot of options including peels, but i find that lasers work better such as fraxel or co2.  I suggest a formal consultation with an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

How soon after getting the VI Peel can I swim in a pool or in the ocean?

Avoid sun for at least 2 weeks after your peel and you can technically go into water after all the peeling has occurred but your skin is going to be more sensitive.  I find low density low energy lasers to be better for long term. Best, Dr. Emer.

I just had the Vi Peel done yesterday and it has been now 24 hours and I am extremely itchy. Could not sleep all night

I suggest seeing your dermatologist.  You likely have a little allergy and need oral/topical steroids, oral antihistamines and proper skin care/healing at this time.  Best, Dr. Emer.
