You should not be experiencing significant burning after treatment of the VI peel. One of the main advantages of the VI peel is the lack of pain and comfort during the process. If you are experiencing burning, I suggest you get an evaluation to ensure your not having a reaction to a product...

Avoid sun for at least 2 weeks after your peel and you can technically go into water after all the peeling has occurred but your skin is going to be more sensitive.  I find low density low energy lasers to be better for long term. Best, Dr. Emer.

I suggest seeing your dermatologist.  You likely have a little allergy and need oral/topical steroids, oral antihistamines and proper skin care/healing at this time.  Best, Dr. Emer.
