I had 1 mL of dermal filler injected into my tear trough approximately two months ago, more on the left than the right. I have noticed that the malar area below my tear trough, especially on the left is now permanently puffy (more in the am) and when I smile the area looks tight and unnatural. I have already tried PRP injections and now tear trough filler. I’m only 35 so I feel like I’m too young for a blepharoplasty. What can I do?
Answer: Botox and fat grafting. I would try to dissolve the filler with hyaluronidase I believe they placed it too superficial.. maybe consider fat grafting I have seen nice results with fat grafting...and botox for the infraorbital occuli area.

Answer: How to treat overcorrection... If your doctor used HA fillers, depending on your examination, this may be dissolved with hyaluronidase. If you had a permanent filler, a dilute steroid injection to the area may be helpful for reducing puffiness. Hope this helps you. Dr Joseph

Answer: Managing Post-Filler Puffiness: Options Beyond Surgery It's not uncommon for the area around the injection site to experience swelling or puffiness after dermal filler treatments, especially in the delicate under-eye area. Here are a few steps you can consider: Massage: Gently massaging the area can sometimes help distribute the filler more evenly, but it's essential to do this only if advised by your practitioner. Cold Compress: Applying a cold compress can reduce swelling, particularly in the morning when puffiness tends to be more pronounced. Antihistamines: Sometimes, puffiness can be due to an allergic reaction. Over-the-counter antihistamines might help if this is the case, but please consult with a healthcare provider before taking any medication. Hyaluronidase: If the filler itself is causing the issue, an enzyme called hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Follow-up Appointment: Schedule a follow-up appointment with the professional who performed your filler injection. They can assess the area and determine if additional treatments or corrections are necessary. Lymphatic Drainage: Professional lymphatic drainage treatments or facial massages that include this technique can help reduce fluid buildup in the area. Wait It Out: In some cases, the body may naturally metabolize the filler over time, reducing puffiness.

Answer: Lymphatic drainage Hi there, Your drainage system isn't draining properly. It isn't the filler actually but it did effect your drainage. It will get better as the filler subsides. Be patient. Best of luck!
