Had a crown almost 2 months later and the pain can be excruciating. I take Aleve and/or Ibuprofen 3-4 times a day. The tooth is "very" sensitive to cold...even cold weather. My dentist said that I am now experiencing pain cause I have short roots on that tooth but the root looks fine so no root canal is needed. He wants to pull it, I don't want it pulled. I would rather have a root canal. I feel miserable. I don't know what to do. He doesn't perform root canals another dentist does down the hall.
