I had double eyelid surgery 3.5 years ago, and a unilateral ptosis correction on my left eye 2 years ago (the original double eyelid surgery made the ptosis more pronounced and caused a heavy feeling on my eyelid which is still present). Before the surgery, I showed the doctor several pictures of the Korean style tapered, low crease height examples that I felt looked most similar to my existing eye shape and crease (I am Korean). After the surgery I was immediately concerned by the incisions as the inner corners were very high/cut differently than my original crease lines. My swelling took over a year to resolve and I still experience chronic intermittent swelling and a feeling of heaviness on my left eyelid, which is why I chose the ptosis correction. The ptosis correction temporarily improved the appearance and heaviness by about 40% but I feel it has returned to its original condition. I have never been happy with the results for a few reasons- I feel the creases are too high and bulging in the inner corners. The creases look too deep and make me look tired, and my left eyelid always feels tired and heavy. When I look at my doctors photos of his other Asian patients, they have a similar result that I feel is different than the traditional Korean style I showed him pictures of. His office team say my results are natural and the creases are even, but I am self conscious and unhappy with the way my eyes look (puffy, uneven). Am I a candidate for revision?
